Nice and really fast computer.  Really like the keyboard because it lights up.  Easy to type on.  Internet is fast.  Runs cool.  Battery life is great.  The only thing I would change is the touch pad if I could.  It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you do it's great.  The light weight is a plus.  Wish it came in colors but that's ok too because it runs fast and gets the job done, and that's all that matters.  Overall great buy.  Thank you for sending this to Guam for me!

Great Computer

I purchased this laptop over a year ago for my daughter who was going off to college. I  was able to upgrade the memory in it to 16GB and add a second SSD drive.  Both were easy upgrades and made this laptop everything she could want in terms of performance and storage. 

The battery saving options and lightweight build make this laptop a great option for students.  It has a backlit keyboard and disc drive, two things that are often missing from many contemporary laptops. 

The sound quality from the laptop is exceptional, and it has Bluetooth so you can wear wireless headphones or pair a Bluetooth speaker. The display is very good head on, but side viewing isn't as good. 

For a budget to mid-range laptop, this one is tough to beat as it sips battery power, can be easily upgraded and zips through applications like it's on fire!  

Simply put "buy it" you won't regret this purchase.

Excellent option for upgrades

My daughter loves this laptop. It's fast, has a great battery life. and a good weight/screen size.  Perfect for all the needs she has for high school. The mouse pad is also exceptionally easy to use.

Great laptop for school

Worst. Purchase. Ever.  I have never written a review before, but if I could save someone else the pain of my experience then I thought it was worth it...
This laptop was great for the first 6 months.  Worked like a dream.  Then, it would randomly begin to shut down at least once a day.  I sent it in to Acer for repair, and they sent it back "fixed"...but did not fix the problem and broke my charger.  Then, I sent it in again to fix both problems.  They replaced the charger (which was nice)...but then cracked the edge of my screen and still did not fix the random shutting down.  
Had a co-worker who is a computer wiz look at it and he figured out the problem in UNDER 2 MINUTES (it was a kernel panic...a sign of a disfunctional laptop). I called them again and they said that my product was now out of warranty and they can't help me, even though it was the same exact problem.  Wasted many hours of my life on this poorly constructed laptop.  
I am NEVER buying an Acer laptop again and now all my friends and family who know my story have a negative opinion on them.  Complete garbage.  Do not waste your money on this.  This laptop and Acer's customer service are awful.  You would be better off buying a cheap, $200 computer than this piece of junk. :(
